6 (and a half) tracks from Vermont's Carton, featuring members of The Pilgrims, Giant Travel Avant Garde, The Jobz and Heavy Winged.
Carton took to Sonelab in Easthampton, MA to track these songs (plus 1 more song, 'Fingertips' to be released via 7" by Negative Fun records) with the talented and hell of a nice dude, Justin Pizzoferrato, who has helmed the studio for Dinosaur Jr., Chelsea Light Moving, Thurston Moore, MV&EE, Happy Jawbone Family Band and many many others.

GIANT TRAVEL AVANT GARDE - APRES [2010]
In Apres, Giant Travel Avant Garde find their direction without losing their old ways. The 3-song movement boasts a new directness, stemming from two differences from their debut. Their rhythms are steadier without being too plain. They have cleaned up the sound without being too polished. The result is a more confident trio, with Chrisinger, Dangelo and Hebert each upping the ante on their respective talents, as well as their overall force. Apres climbs steadily, each song stronger than the one that came before it. “Apostle” paints a bleak future that carries through a grunge-painted “Nous” into the crashing denouement of “Lanterns.” Though they may not hold hope for the fate of society, Apres says intriguing things about where Giant Travel Avant Garde are headed.
