INTERVIEW WITH GRAHAM “PRODJEKT” ROBINSON

 

Many in the What Doth Life family consider themselves traditional musicians, who play traditional instruments and rock out in the traditional way. But there is another side to our musical co-op that blends traditional sounds with unconventional mayhem. White River Junction resident Graham Robinson, or “Prodjekt” as he is known to his fans, spends his time creating and remixing tunes to bring you sounds that are at times ethereal, jarring, and even confusing. His music is not for traditionalists. We’ve recently reached out to Graham for a short interview. Here’s what he had to say:

what are some of the music projects that you have recently worked on?
Prodjekt:
sci-fi forest

WDL:
What software/hardware do you use when mixing music?
Prodjekt:
a mixed bag

WDL:
is there any instrument that you would like to learn?
Prodjekt:
keyboards

WDL:
what do you find is the most challenging thing for musicians these days, more specifically in this neck of the woods?
Prodjekt:
lack of shows and EDM MUSIC

WDL:
what music are you especially into now a days?
Prodjekt:
dubstep house techno punk rockabilly

WDL:
So, in today’s world of social media, how do you think the realm of music-making and music-distributing has changed?
Prodjekt:
cost and money

WDL:
where do you see the music business in ten or twenty years?
Prodjekt:
i don’t really know life for the time now

WDL:
Do you have any pets?
Prodjekt:
yes 16 chickens

as a long time artist in the local scene, do you have any suggestions for new local artists?
Prodjekt:

What do you do in real life?

looking for work
