What Doth Life:
The Non Profit
What Doth Life has officially entered our non profit era! What Doth Life, founded as a musician’s co-op in 2010, has received 501c3 non-profit status. The decision to organize as a non-profit was made as a logical next-step for What Doth Life to better serve the local, independent music community. As a non-profit, our mission is to foster a community of independent artist musicians and promote the creation of original music through opportunities in production, performance, and promotion.

We aim to support and protect artistic vision, open venues to present works to audiences, and provide tools to sharpen skills needed to be successful in all musical endeavors.

Over the last 15 years, members of the What Doth Life Co-op have thrown countless shows, released dozens of albums and compilations, raised money for worthy causes (such as NOFA-VT, flood relief efforts, and community fundraisers), and promoted local, independent music in a landscape that has grown increasingly inhospitable to new and developing artists. Organizing as a non-profit will allow us to support more musical projects and endeavors for our community and give us more freedom with resources that support our mission.

The What Doth Life non-profit will be directed by a board of seven enthusiastic individuals from a variety of backgrounds and united by a passion for music.
